The Unfinished Obelisk at Aswan. The obelisk cracked while begin cut, and then abandoned. The work in progress gave archeologists valuable clues as to how such pieces were made. An annotation shows the crack. Other cuts appear to have been made deliberately, though our guide didn't seem to know why.
